It all started with a dream, a father-and-son project, and a 1974 Volkswagen Westfalia.
Like many people during COVID, we found ourselves looking for something that would get us outside, slow life down, and create memories that would last a lifetime. So we bought our '74 Westy. Not because it was perfect (far from it), but because it had character, history, and endless possibilities.
The real goal wasn't just restoring an old Volkswagen. It was spending time together.
Every weekend became an adventure. Learning how these classic buses were built. Turning wrenches. Hunting for impossible-to-find parts. Celebrating the small victories. Laughing through the inevitable breakdowns. Those hours in the garage became some of our favorite memories.
Along the way, we discovered something special about the VW community. Everyone waves. Everyone has a story. Whether you're driving a Split Window, a Bay Window, a Vanagon, or just dreaming about owning one someday, you're instantly part of a family.
That's when we decided to create this store.
Our mission is simple: to share our passion for the classic Volkswagen lifestyle while helping fund the adventures and the never-ending restoration of our beloved Westy.

We're based in sunny San Jose, California, where you'll usually find our bus loaded with surfboards, chasing good weather, exploring the coast, or parked with the windows open and coffee brewing.
